Can't play now though, about to do my goddamn math homework.

Aaaaand, speaking of my math class...at first I thought I really liked my teacher 'cause, I dunno. He explained things better, I guess.
But he never tells us when tests are and. ffffffffffffffff. Jesus, I totally forgot what else I was gonna say.

You
know what I hate?
People who complain about how much they hate something on livejournal.
But you know what else I hate?
Bad fortunes in fortune cookies. I really hate those.
But you know what I really, really hate?

People with hobbies.
It's been bothering me for a long time now. It's just like people with boyfriends or girlfriends, who only ever want to talk about or be around their lovr 4 lyfe!!!!1
But with hobbies, people usually don't ditch them within a 2 week period. I'm talking about real hobbies; like a life-long passion type thing. I don't know what it is with me, but I just can't stand when someone goes off about how special something is to them and how much they've practiced and all that other precious shit. I don't give two harimeisons whether or not you can strum a goddamn banjo with your teeth for chrissake. I just don't care - it really annoys me.
And I realized that it's probably because when it comes to hobbies, I don't have any. So it's probably more like a jealousy thing with me. But then, I do have hobbies. Or I did. Gymnastics, Tennis, Soccer, Softball, Drawing, Graphics, Writing, Singing, Clarinet, Swimming, Piano; I tried them all. I just quit on all of them, that's all. So maybe I'm jealous that I could never stick to anything; maybe I'm just stingy that other people seem to have found what they like while I just kinda, I dunno, sit here. It's not that I mind sitting around, it's just. People with hobbies really annoy the hell outta me. Really. That's all.

I mean, the worst type of hobby-people are the ones who share what used to be my hobby. My goddamn hobby. That really annoys me. And when they pretend to know so goddamn much about it, like they're an expert or something. When really, they probably couldn't give two shits about it either. That's probably what I want to believe. I'm sure a lot of them might be genuine but I bet most of them are just as hobby-less as I am. So why are they pretending?

Huh.

Holden Caulfield = Alex Shepherd?
apartmentred
6:38 PM - NOVEMBER 2ND 2009

Kinda bored, I don't have much to write about. I used to have a livejournal before this one but I wrote a bunch of shit I shouldn't have about people and. Yengh.
SOOOO, IT'S GONNA TAKE ME AWHILE TO GET USED TO WRITING AGAIN? <u>
Not that really ever talked about anything important. Huuuuuuh.

Anyway, I'm reading Gone With The Wind right now and it somehow reminded me that I never fully finished Catcher in the Rye. I mean, I got pretty goddamn far into it, but I never finished - and I wonder why. I guess I thought it wasn't going anywhere and the whole book was just a telling of randomass events. Which, to be honest, it is. Plus, the writing style got annoying after awhile, I just kinda wanted to punch Holden in the balls. But I was too goddamn stupid to look past the big picture. Once we actually had to do a project on a book and I chose Catcher In the Rye (yes, I did a project on a book I never finished. Ace'd it too, biotch) I saw a lot of connections I could make and a helllllll of a lot of symbolism.
I love symbolism. <3 Like how New York, where the book takes place, is an exact reflection of his personality. And how he never, ever connects with the rest of the world is a bigass key to the plot. And how he was always running away from his problems and he was always worried about people changing. And him wanting to protect everyone's innocence and. And how every character I passed off as insignificant was just. jf;klsadjfa. And just. Goddamn. It makes me feel stupid that I could never see those things before without thinking about them.
Actually, I looked up the ending to the book awhile ago out of curiosity and found out that by the end of the book, Holden ends up in a mental institution- or insane asylum. Which like. Totally changes the whole meaning of the book for me. I think I'll pick up a copy some time and continue the last few chapters. You really shouldn't leave a book without finishing, you know?

I wonder what else I've missed in other books I left unfinished.
